Google for Education

Google for Education

With the amazing capabilities and successes of using the G-Suite for offices
and individuals, Google saw an opportunity to help cash-strapped schools and
by tailoring the same tools to an educational environment. No new infrastructure. Less paperwork. A more collaborative approach to learning.
And best of all, it’s completely free.

u.s. :: TV :: Easy to manage

Our task was to remind teachers in the U.S. that this is why “You Chromebook” specifically for education. We followed the white-border format of the current "You Chromebook" campaign.

INTERNATIONAL :: TV :: SECUrity

We were then asked to create four, :20 spots to introduce Google for Education to international audiences.

INTERNATIONAL :: TV :: solve this problem

Each spot contains a question and answer format typically found in a classroom setting. The campaign contains four 'tests' that influenced all assets.

direct mail

Besides TV, we created a direct mail package for teachers with interactive tests and games to show how easy, versatile, and fun the Chromebook and G-Suite were for classrooms.

Besides TV, we created a direct mail package for teachers with interactive tests and games to show how easy, versatile, and fun the Chromebook and G-Suite were for classrooms.

u.s. :: TV :: versatility

We created both U.S. spots by digging through hours of pre-made Google for Education footage to create an upbeat, Chromebook centered, inspirational video for teachers and students alike.

INTERNATIONAL :: TV :: multiple choice

We did this by using the Google colors, a charming illustration style, and clean animation with some slight, interesting quirks.

INTERNATIONAL :: TV :: true or false

The resulting six commercials—two for the U.S. market and four for international markets—garnered over ten million views on YouTube.

content guide

We then designed a downloadable, interactive PDFs for teachers that did not receive direct mail. The guide follows the same test taking format of the :20 spots, and even has responsive sections where teachers can type notes.
